Actual/Potential Matter

This body of 13 works explores monochromatic abstraction and new approaches to composition, focusing on basic elements of line, texture and scale. These works also borrow from conceptual artist Geta Bratescu’s 21-part drawing series, The Rule of the Circle, The Rule of the Game 1985, dealing with the overlapping principles of reality/materiality and abstraction. Actual/Potential Matter featured at SEVENTH Gallery in Fitzroy, Melbourne, from 8-23 September 2016.
